We live in transformative times, and are in the midst of some profound shifts in the global economy. If we are going to survive in this rapidly changing world, we face two key challenges:
• making sense of the changes around us; and
• building on existing knowledge to make progress in our increasingly complex world.
What is the full scope of these shifts on the global economy and on corporations? How should companies respond effectively to these fundamental and complex changes?
To address some of these questions, the Fung Global Institute hosted a discussion with John Seely Brown, author of The Power of Pull; Visiting Scholar and Advisor to the Provost at the University of Southern California (USC); and the Independent Co-Chairman of the Deloitte Center for the Edge. This dialogue frames the long-term challenges, and attempts to draw a roadmap that can help corporates turn these challenges into opportunities.
Speaker: John Seely Brown - Visiting Scholar and Adviser to Provost at USC; Independent Co-Chairman, Deloitte Center for the Edge
Moderator: Dr Victor K. Fung - Chairman, Fung Global Institute; Chairman, Li & Fung Group
